The Twin Lights on Thacher Island in Rockport have been a beacon for sailors, merchants, and fisherman alike since 1771. The Twin Lights were the last lighthouses built under British rule after John Hancock presented a petition to the General Court to get their construction approved. The Twin Lights are a staple of the Rockport community, and we couldn’t think of better name for our New England Double IPA than these historic monoliths.
Stefan Mierz, Owner of Art Nook Gallery, was born in Lowell, Massachusetts and grew up in Rockport.
